Our College has institutional membership of Indian Society for Technical Education ISTE vide membership No. IM1106. It organizes Lectures by experts from industry, R&D organizations, defence services and other institutions.
ISTE student chapter (No. RT-26) has been established in the college to promote technical and social skills from different streams are members of the chapter.

ACET organized its first National Level Technical Festival " PARYAS-2006" on 10th March, 2006. This function was organized under the aegis of ISTE to mark the presence of college in ever expanding world of technology. The chief guest of the function was the renowned personality Dr. R.P.Singh, member of National Executive Counsil of ISTE and Director Rayat Institute of Engineering and Information Technology, Ropar and Mr. K. K., Chief Manager. Human Resources, Escorts Group, Faridabad . Technical quiz, group discussions, paper presentation, circuit designing, web designing, debate and project display were different events of the function. It was commendable to see the students from far and near engineering colleges participating with great enthusiasm.
The Tech. Fest. was participated by BET, Gurdaspur PEC, Chandigarh.

Activities of the Renewable Energy Club.
Sun Day was celebrated in the premises with the
support of Ministry of non-conventional Energy sources & Punjab Energy development agency under the guidance of Renewable Energy Club.
The club arranged paper presentation & poster presentation competitions to create awareness among students.
In paper presentation on Solar Energy, Gurmeet Singh and Parampreet were declared First.
In poster presentation, Shiv Nandan and Bupinder Ram Chandani won the First prize.
Co-ordinator of the event was Ms. Prabhkiran Kaur, Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering.
Pallas Athena Cultural
To promote cultural activities among students, Amritsar
College of Engineering & Technology established a society named PALLAS ATHENA Cultural Society (PACS) in year 2002. This Society is responsible to provide a platform to exhibit and to polish the latent skills of students by organizing various Cultural Activities in the college campus.
During the last session, PACS organized two events
Jubilant- the Flurry in the month of October-2005 and, Spring Festival in March, 2006.

A gala function is organized every year by PACS to
welcome the new entrants in the college. This event
provides an opportunity to the new students to
demonstrate their social, cultural and creative skills. This year the chief guest of the event was Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Placement Officer of G.N.D.U, Amritsar. A cultural programme was organized followed by competitions like
Mr.&. Ms. Fresher, Mr. &. Ms. Personality and Mr. &. Ms. Dress up.
Spring Festival
This has become a tradition of the college to celebrate Spring Festival at the arrival of spring festival. The main
competitions comprising this festival this year were Rangoli, Face Painting, Mehandi, Flower Arrangement, Collage Making, Dumb Charades, Sketching, Turn_coat,
Kite Flying. Students installed various stalls of eatables and games.
NSS WING
Comprehensive development of students is our aim, so
that they become useful and responsible citizens who can perform their social obligations in an effective manner.NSS wing has been established in the college with this aim. Students are encouraged to participate in different social activities such as Tree Plantation Camp and Blood Donation Camp.
On 31st of March Blood Donation Camp was arranged in
the college premises. There were 45 students who volunteered to donate blood,
To motivate the students for tree plantation, a camp was organized on the same day and 40 saplings were planted to inculcate the idea of greener earth. |
