The principal of ACET Dr. Rajneesh Arora extended a warm welcome to Dr. R.S. Bawa and advised students to learn from the life and experience of Dr. Bawa. Dr. R.S. Bawa an eminent economist, revered teacher and a respected administrator addressed students of the department. He motivated students to lead a disciplined life and contribute to the task of national development. He quoted examples from his own student life that how he not only attended 100% lectures but also played hockey for 7 years during his college life. He inspired teachers to teach with affection and also to continuously upgrade their knowledge to become better teachers. He said that a teacher has a great role to play in shaping entire life of students. He advised teachers to become role models.

At the end of the lecture Dr. Rajneesh Arora honored Dr. Bawa by presenting a memento. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Rajiv Sharma.
26th sep 08 The post graduate department of management studies and computer applications invited an eminent personality Dr. Hardeep Singh (Professor, Deptt. of CSE, GNDU) on 26th sep 08 to deliver a lecture on the Software Engineering in the guest lecture series.

This lecture covered basics of software engineering in a very subtle way. It is worth mentioning here that Dr. Hardeep Singh is Ph.D. in software engineering. And he has been head of DCSE, GNDU and dean of engineering & technology. He is expert member of UGC, AICTE and NBA.
