A guest lecture on “Carbon Financing: Enabling Renewable Energy in India“ was organized by Tech-Neers club of IT Deptt. in ACET, Amritsar. Ms. Chhaaya Bhanti, Vice President of Evolution Markets India Ltd., New Delhi was the Keynote Speaker. She emphasized that the renewable energy & the energy efficiency are the areas, people need to invest in. She also warned that if carbon emissions are not controlled, then by 2050 India will be the highest energy consumer.

On her arrival to the college she was given a florall welcome by the revered Dean Academic Affairs ‘Dr. S.K Aggarwal’ & HOD (IT) Dr. Surjit Singh. The lecture was very well co-ordinated by Ms. Neha Chadha (Faculty Advisor Techneers Club) & student coordinators Ms. Bhanu Aggarwal & Ms. Simran Kohli (IT – III Semester). The lecture was largely attended by the students & faculty members. In the end, Dr. Surjit Singh proposed a vote of thanks & honored the worthy speaker with a momento.
