Department of IT (Prize Distribution Function)
Aug 20, 2010 was a memorable day for the Department of Information Technology of ACET, Amritsar. The Department organised a prize distribution ceremony for two segments:
- Industrial Training for two months (Best Project Award).
- Awards to the Academic Toppers in the Department.
The event was very well organised by the combined efforts of both the students and the faculty members from the department. The chief guest for this function was Dr. R.S. Bawa (Director), a very renowned Educationist & a great Visionary. It was his first formal visit to IT department. Also present on the occasion were Dr.S.K. Aggarwal (Dean Academics), Retd. Col. Gurmukh Singh (Dean Students Affairs), Dr. Surjit Singh (HOD IT), faculty members and students of IT – V Semester.
Director Sir personally congratulated each winner and wished them best of luck for their bright future. He motivated the students and asked them to keep pace with the life and identify their strengths. He stressed that the institution demands nothing but hard work and dedication from all the students. He assured all help to students from the institute. In the end, Dr. Surjit Singh (HOD IT) proposed a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries for sparing their valuable time for the function.
