Sports Committee of the college conducted the following tournaments on Sunday 22 March 2009:
- Badminton Tournament(Girls)
- Table Tennis Tournament(Boys)
Both these events drew a large number of participants. About 40 girls and 26 boys participated in these events, which were organized in the college campus itself. The event was very well organized by the co-coordinators Mr. Jagdeep Singh, Ms Dipti Malhotra & Ms Sheetu Wadhwa. The conduct of these events was a great success because of the untiring efforts of Mr. Gagan, Mr. Gulsher & Mr. Manish. Student coordinators Ms Shrutika (CSE), Ms Shipra (IT) & Ms Shivani (MCA) were instrumental in the publicity of these events.
The referee for Badminton Tournament was Mr. Rajeev from DAV Public school Amritsar. He is the in charge of badminton events for Amritsar District. He spared his precious time for this event & conducted it in a very professional way. His mere presence was a great inspiration for the participants.

Table Tennis (Singles)
Mr. Jaskaran Singh (ECE) first, Mr. Shubham (CSE) second & Mr. Kunal Sharma (CSE) third.
Table Tennis (Doubles)
Mr. Kunal Sharma (CSE) & Mr. Vishal Kapoor (CSE) first. Mr. Parminder (CSE) & Mr. Rishi (ME) second.
Badminton (Singles)
Ms Heena Gupta (IT) first, Ms Saravjeet Kaur(ECE) second & Ms Manpreet Kaur(CSE) third.
Badminton(Doubles)
Ms Saravjeet Kaur(ECE) & Ms Sunita(MCA)first, Ms Manpreet Kaur(CSE) & Ms Heena Gupta(IT) second.
Trophies, Medals, Certificates and Cash prizes were given to the winners, in both singles and doubles category, by the Sports President Mr. Ajay Sharma and Mr. Rajeev. A special honour trophy was given to Mr. Rajeev. Appreciation trophies were given to Mr. Gagan, Mr. Gulsher & Mr. Manish. |
